The starting salary for a diesel mechanic is $14 per hour, however for individuals with direct previous experience, we may consider offering slightly higher. As the candidate develops in their role over time and shows their value to the company, there is the prospect of higher earning potential. The cost of living in the BVI is higher than most other places in the Caribbean, however this is offset by a low-income tax rate of 8% after the first $10k of annual earnings. Social security is just 4% of earnings and national health insurance is 3.5% of earnings, both offer good benefits like quality healthcare and pay during extended sick days.
