CANDIDATE PROFILE

Salary based on experience.

Education and Experience
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
International experience preferred
4&5 Star Hotel experience preferred
High volume cocktail experience is essential.
WSET level certificates in wine & spirits
Strong communication skills. Very good command of English is paramount.
2-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 2 years’ experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Managing Bar Operations
- Managing the day to day bar operations.
- Ensure bars are correctly staffed & setup for the business requirements
- Maintain health & hygiene standards.
- Conduct daily / weekly training for both floor & bar staff. Liaise with liquor brands to arrange training sessions.
- Communicate essential information regarding parties & events.
- Oversee staff development program
- Maintain beverage cost by controlling par levels, orders.
- Create monthly sales analysis with synopsis and strategy to strengthen areas of weakness.
- Ensure all supplier contractual endeavours are met.
- Ensure bar service is smooth and effective.
- Assist staff with any help required to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Menu development. Cocktail creation, spirits & wine selection.
- Ensure all promotional plans are put in to effect within the given time frames.
- Maintain budgets, achieve or exceed sales goals.
